Kuala Lumpur, March 31: Perodua sponsored six ALZA units to two of the nation’s top radio stations ERA and MY FM to cruise the selected streets and highways in the country.

This joint promotion is expected to interact with some 100,000 lucky people, where they stand the chance to win goodies from its crew.

The six ALZA units sponsored by Perodua to the two radio stations will be for a period of 6 months.

“Through this promotion, both Perodua and the radio stations will be able to be more interactive and personal,” Perodua Managing Director En. Aminar Rashid Salleh said at the handover ceremony here today.

“With this (joint) promotion, Perodua will be able to showcase and promote the ALZA even more effectively and at the same time build a better rapport with our customers,” Aminar Rashid said.

The ALZA, launched in November last year, has generated great interest from the public, with bookings reaching 27,000 units as of 29 March with nearly 15,000 units on the road.

AMP Radio Networks Executive Director Dato’ Borhanuddin Osman who was also present said Skuad ERA and MY FM Team now has an enhanced new look with the handover of the new ‘Perodua Alza’, changing their name to Skuad ERA PERODUA and MY FM PERODUA Team.

The ALZAs were introduced to the public in an exciting way at a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur! Live crosses and games were conducted at 1pm by both SKUAD ERA PERODUA and MY FM PERODUA Team, where two Grand Prize winners were chosen to each win a five-day return chauffeured service in PERODUA Alza from home to workplace/ university/ college! There were also two iPod Shuffles up for grabs.

Skuad ERA PERODUA
1 August 1999 was a historic date for ERA when the station became the first Bahasa Malaysia station to set up an on-ground team to travel from one place to another to meet the listeners.

Since then, Skuad ERA has travelled all over Peninsular Malaysia as the ambassador of the country’s favourite radio station. After over one decade, Skuad ERA not only operates from Kuala Lumpur, but also has teams based in Penang and Johor Bahru.
